Obituary of Susan Rippey Polleys

Susan R. Polleys died, March 3, 2012 in Tucson. She was born, November 13, 1924, to Emily and James Rippey, in Taunton, MA and married Rhodes Polleys. She was predeceased by Rhodes in 2008 and her son in 1977. She is survived by 3 children, John, Abbie and Robert. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. Music was important throughout her life: she graduated from Connecticut College with a major in organ music, was a church organist for many years, taught Suzuki piano and was very active in the Tucson Music Teachers Association. She also loved flowers, grew prize winning African violets and was very active in the Tucson African Violet Society. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, March 8, 2012 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. Memorial gifts may be made to Community Food Bank of Southern AZ, P.O.
