Obituary of John Turkoc

John Turkoc 1953-2012 Born in New Jersey. Passed away on March 20, 2012, from heart failure, at the age of 58. Preceded in death by his father Joseph Turkoc. Survived by his wife of 30 years, Erma; step-daughter, Sharon Parker and granddaughter, Nicole. He leaves his mother, Katherine Turkoc; brother, Joseph Turkoc, his wife Jennifer and three children, Mary, Alexandra and John; extended family and close friends. John’s love of adventure and history lead to his career in Archaeology and world travel. He earned a BS Degree, Seton Hall University, Orange, New Jersey and Post Graduate Study at NAU, Flagstaff, AZ. John’s Navy career included service on USS Trout SS 566, USS Ajax AR6 and USS Bryce Canyon AD-36. A Celebration of John’s life will be 10AM, Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Bring’s Memorial Chapel, 236 S. Scott Avenue, with visitation beginning at 9:30AM. Interment will follow at 1PM at So. Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista, AZ with Military Honors conducted by the US Navy.
