Obituary of John Leonard Bowden

John L. Bowden "Jack" died April 26, 2012 at the age of 91. Jack was born, July 19, 1920 to O.E. and Hazel Bowden in Texarkana, Arkansas. The family soon moved to Russellville, Arkansas where he attended school and college until he enlisted in the Army in 1940. Jack was stationed at Fort Myer, Virginia from 1940-45 and he retired in 1974 after working for STRAT COM, Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Jack is survived by his wife of 68 years, Norma; also two sons, John (Linda) and Paul (Linda); two grandsons, Jason (Sarah) and Jacob (Julia); one granddaughter, Meredith (Chris) and four great-grandchildren, Jack, Joseph, Joshua and Molly. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2012, at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.
