Obituary of Earl J. Franks
Earl John Franks
102, died May 8, 2012. Survived by his son, Earle W. Franks (Mabel) of
Fresno, CA, three grandsons, Earle Franks (Shelley) of Fountain Valley, CA;
Bryan Franks (Lisa) of Clovis, CA and Aaron Franks (Jill) of Long Beach, CA,
nine great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Vincent and Montavia Franks of Fountain
Valley; Colton, Wyatt, Clay and Mia Franks of Clovis; Karissa and Marley of
Long Beach. Mr. Franks was born in Bisbee, Arizona Territory and graduated
from Bisbee High School. He married Mabel May Corn in 1937 and moved to
Tucson. During WWII, he ran crews of women riveters, repairing and
refitting bombers and fighter aircraft at Davis Monthan Air Base. He
continued at DMAFB, in the sheet metal shop until his retirement in 1979.
Friends may call from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Saturday, May 12, 2012, at BRING'S
BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. Graveside Service will be 11:30 am,
Monday, May 14, 2012 at East Lawn Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Rd.
