Obituary of Kathleen L Forker

Kathleen Lively Forker Born November 4, 1932 in Greensboro, North Carolina. She died May 12, 2012 after an eight month struggle trying to recover from a catastrophic traumatic brain injury, suffered in a fall in our home. She is survived by her husband George N. Forker, MD, a longtime Tucson urologist; by her son John B. Ward; grandsons Benjamin and Ian; by her brother, Lloyd Lively; by her stepchildren Timothy, Christopher and Holly; step-grandchildren Sophia, Matthew and Kyle. While she was still an infant, Kathleen’s family moved to Decatur, Alabama where they lived until her graduation from Decatur High School where she was class Salutatorian. She then enrolled in Randolph Macon Women’s College in Lynchburg, Virginia. After two years she transferred to Auburn University. Kathleen was an avid master swimmer, hiker, gardener, musician (piano), an accomplished gourmet cook and an amateur ornithologist. Words cannot describe the joy and love she brought to me and our extended family. There will be no funeral service. Please, no flowers or donations. I ask only that you keep your fond memories of my beloved Kathleen tucked away in your heart. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, www.bringfuneralhome.com/obituaries.
