Obituary of Gerald S. Whittemore

GERALD S WITTEMORE â€" Gerald “Jerry” S. Whittemore died May 14, 2012 in Tucson, Arizona after a long battle with cancer. He was born November 3rd 1943 in Lawrence, Massachusetts. The son of Paul and Geraldine Whittemore, Jerry attended Smithsburg High School in Maryland and then enlisted in the US Air Force until 1964. After his military service, Jerry worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and married Susan Warrell in 1966. Jerry and Susan were married for 46 years and had three children. Jerry retired after 27 years at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and then moved his family to Tucson, Arizona. Jerry is survived by his beloved wife Susan Whittemore, his son Paul Whittemore, his daughter Patricia Norman, his daughter Pamela Miley, his grandchildren Shea and Colby Miley, his step-mother Hannah Whittemore, his brother Richmond Whittemore, all of Tucson, AZ, and his sister Susan Biskind, his niece and nephew Tanya and Jay DuPont and their children Miranda and Brayden, all of Phoenix, AZ.
