Obituary of Patricia A. Crone

Patricia A. Crone, 76, born on October 22, 1935 died at home on July 4th, 2012. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Robert; sons Jeff of Marshall, Michigan, Jay of Tucson, Todd of Flagstaff and by her sister Barbara of Newport Beach, California. She was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren; Megan, Jackie, Eric, David, Julie, Ryan, Samantha and Jenna. Pat was born in Massillon, Ohio and attended Washington High school. She received a degree in elementary education from Ohio State University in 1957. She was president of Alpha Phi Sorority her senior year. She and Robert were married in the summer of 1957. She taught in Euclid, Ohio when Robert started medical school. The family moved to Fort Lewis Washington in 1961 to enter an army internship. Subsequent moves included San Antonio, Texas, Fort Eustis, Virginia and Columbus, Ohio before moving to Tucson in 1968. Patsy was a stay-at-home mom raising her three sons. She was a dedicated volunteer spending many years in ambulatory surgery at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She also volunteered for Mobile Meals, Casa de los Niños and Brewster Home. She enjoyed travel, cooking and bridge. The family enjoyed their yearly ski trips to Colorado. Later, she and Robert enjoyed 19 Elderhostel trips mostly active outdoor hiking. It was my greatest blessing to have shared these years together. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday July 14th at 10 AM at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church, 8625 E.
