Obituary of Eileen S. Casey

Eileen Casey April 20, 1928 to July 6, 2012 She entered the world on a West Virginia farm as Eileen Livingston. After the untimely passing of her mother, Eileen was adopted by Charles and Sarah Schupbach at the age of five. Their only child, the Schupbachs nurtured Eileen in a loving environment that allowed her to define the inner strength. sense of fairness, and gentle nature that carried her through life. Active and well liked, in high school Eileen was on the girl's basketball team, the band, and was homecoming queen. Eileen attended Bethany College, where she met John P. (Jack) Casey, whom she married on July 5, 1949 They enjoyed life in academic communities as they raised their two children. Over the years Eileen engaged in a wide range of interesting activities such as yoga instructor, election judge, and hospice volunteer. She and Jack traveled in their early retirement years, and lived in Tucson together from 1998 until Jack's passing in 2006. Eileen fought Parkinson's Disease for many years and spent the last five and a half years in assisted living at Atria Campana del Rio, where she appreciated caregivers such as Juan, Elizabeth, and Carol. While at Atria, her strength coaches Sean and Rachel helped her battle Parkinson's. She is survived by her sister Billie June, daughter Carol, son Charles (Joanna) and grandson Jack. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Atria Campana del Rio, 1550 E. River Road. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL. bringfuneralhome.com
