Obituary of Ursicina Priego Dos Santos

Ursicina P. Dos Santos “Ursi” was born in Spain on July 12, 1924 and passed away peacefully in Tucson on July 21, 2012. She came to America in 1951 after marrying Plácido M. dos Santos, the one true love of her life. They remained by each other’s side until his death in 1996. She was very proud of her U.S. citizenship and the family that she raised with great devotion in Seville, Spain and Brooklyn, New York. Ursi is survived by her sons Manuel and Plácido, her grandson John (Butch), two great grandchildren, M.J. and Maia, and a multitude of friends and other relatives. At age 88 she reflected on her life and family and declared “Misión Cumplida” (Mission Accomplished). The family will not hold a memorial service in Arizona but deeply appreciate thoughts and prayers sent in lieu of flowers or donations.
