Obituary of George M. Chamberlain

George Chamberlain Sr., born December 4, 1921 in Nogales, AZ, passed peacefully on July 22, 2012, in Tucson, AZ. Preceded in death by wife, Delia, son, George Jr., daughter, Irma and grandson, Joseph Daniel. Survived by 3 sons, 2 daughters, 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren. Also, 1 brother and many nieces and nephews. George grew up in Washington Camp, AZ. He was a fine cattleman and also worked in the Lavender Pit Mine in Bisbee, AZ. In 1942, George was called by Uncle Sam to serve in WWII. He proudly served in the Army on the Aleutian Island of Attu. After his return to the states he married Delia Carrasco of Nogales, AZ in 1945. Married 62 years before being widowed in 2006. He retired from the State of AZ MVD in 1983. Our father was a man of simple values and common sense. He will be greatly missed by his surviving children and extended family. Vaya con Dios, amado Padre. Visitation will be 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. A Scripture Service will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, July 26, 2012, also at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, followed by burial at Our Lady of The Desert Cemetery.
