Obituary of Vernon C. Williamson

Vern C. Williamson, USAF (Ret.) Sept. 9, 1924 - July 27, 2012 Vern grew up on a dairy farm in the middle of Wisconsin. He flew 235 missions in 3 wars (WWII, Korea, and Vietnam) and retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Lt. Colonel. Once he and Jackie settled in Arizona, Vern proudly served and helped build the American Legion, Post 109. He is survived by his brothers Jim and Larry, sisters Jo-Ann and Sarah, son Jim, daughter Sheree, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Services will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E Broadway Blvd., Tucson, with a viewing at 10:00 a.m. A reception will be held after at the American Legion, Post 109, 15921 S. Houghton Rd., Corona de Tucson). In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Legion, Post 109.
