Obituary of Jerome Genovese

Jerome "Jerry" Genovese Journeyed Home to be with his Lord on July 30, 2012. Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Frances Genovese; and his brother Gregory Genovese .He was a Special Child; born with Down Syndrome. He was a little boy in a man's body. He held various work shelter jobs and enjoyed building wooden pallets and being part of a landscaping team. He was a very sweet natured and well mannered individual. For the last 17 years he lived in the Bellevue Group Home run by the Tucson Residence Foundation where he received excellent care by the staff members, especially Jasmyn and Oscar. Jerome was a spiritual individual who loved the Lord. He is survived by his sister Bridget Krmpotich; his 3 nephews: Joseph Genovese (Terrilynn), Gregory Genovese, and Vincent Genovese (Tracy); and six great-nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in his memory to Peppi's House (Hospice) 5301 E. Grant Rd. Tucson, AZ 85712, or the Tucson Residence Foundation, 115 S. Sherwood Village, Tucson, AZ 85710. Visitation will be held 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Sunday, August 5, 2012, at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway, with Rosary recited at 7:00PM. A Mass will be said 10:00 am, Monday, August 6, 2012 at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church,1375 S. Camino Seco, Tucson, followed by entombment at Holy Hope Mausoleum.
