Obituary of Maurine Cook

Maurine (Mickie) Cook Beloved wife, Mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Born January 3, 1926 in Pocatello Idaho, died August 18, 2012. Preceded in death by son Gary and grandson Christopher. Survived by Darwin, husband of 69 years, sons: Craig (Kathy), Randy (Jeanmarie), Paul (Myrna), Bruce (Cally); 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren, and sister Cleone Porter, of Gilbert, Arizona. Maurine was a deeply spiritual person and was a lifelong active member of the LDS church. She and her husband served a mission in South Africa in 1989-1990. She was an excellent cook and has passed many traditional family recipes to her posterity. She was an avid camper and enjoyed family outings in Idaho, the White Mountains, and Mexico. Maurine and Darwin have been residents of Tucson for the last 50 years. Services will be held at the LDS Fairmount Chapel 6150 E. Fairmount, Tucson, Arizona on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 10:00 am with a viewing beginning at 9:00 am. Burial to follow in Binghampton Cemetery.
