Obituary of Frederick A. Haag

Frederick A. Haag, 74, beloved father and grandfather passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 17, 2012 at his home. He is preceded in death by his parents Georgia and William A. Haag and brothers Donald R. Haag and William A. Haag Jr. He is survived by his wife Donna of the home, 3 sons, Richard (Luann) of Denver, CO, Daniel of Tucson, AZ and Steven (Deanne) of Phoenix, AZ; 3 daughters, Teresa Lee (Larry) of Leavenworth, KS, Sharon Stremel (Michael) of Denver, CO and Kathleen Boyarko (Richard) of Boardman, Ohio and thirteen grandchildren. He was born on August 1, 1938 and grew up in Leavenworth, KS. He served three years in the US Army from 1959 to 1962. He began his career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons in May of 1966 in Leavenworth, KS. He transferred with his family to Englewood, CO in 1979 and worked there until January 1982. In 1982 the family moved to Tucson, AZ where Fred helped open the Federal Prison on south Wilmot. He retired from Tucson on July 1990. He touched many lives and had many friends. Visitation will be held Friday October 19th from 6 PM to 8 PM with a rosary at 7 PM at St. Francis de Sales 1375 S. Camino Seco. A funeral Mass will be held Saturday October 20, 2012 at noon at St. Francis de Sales. Interment will be held at a later date in Leavenworth, KS.
