I am so sorry to hear about Elmer passing. I know that your family is very close, which makes it so much sadder and more difficult to accept. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

The years of being friends with this family have been a blessing. Elmer as head of this warm household was a great example of joy, encouragement, and fun. His spouse, children, and grandchildren are the results and rewards of his presence. Anytime I spent time with the family and Elmer, there was nothing but happiness and welcoming. Though we are sorry for the loss of his presence and for the family, we will have found memories to keep. Prayers to the family so to continue his legacy of joyful influence and hospitality.

To the entire Carter family:
We are truly sorry for your loss. We know how much Mr. Carter loved Mary Jane and his children. His family was his life and he was always so excited to talk about all of you. We are so happy that Elmer has an opportunity to enjoy some time as a retired husband, father and grandfather. He so deserved that special time with all of you. We send our love and prayers to all.

Elmer was a man that touched us in so many ways. His smile was infectious and warms the heart, even from a photo. He was always gracious and complimentary whenever he ran into one of us, often at the local hardware store, grocery store or most often at McDonald's, where he managed to make Sean (our son) feel he was the most important person there. He actually had a way of making us all feel extra special, treating us like family. Elmer will always hold a special place in our hearts and will be remembered as one of the most loving people we have ever come to know. God Bless Elmer and all the Carter family! All our love, Lloydyne, Rick & Sean
