Obituary of Teresa Frausto

Teresa "Tuna" Frausto 10/12/1965 - 11/5/2012 age 47, went to be with our Lord and Savior, surrounded in loving comfort of her family. Pre-deceased by husband, Thomas Newton; grandparents, Jesus and Maria Lopez and nephew, Rey R. Trinidad, Jr. She is survived by her beautiful daughter, Taylor Newton and will be missed by her mother, Socorro Borboa and Andres Frausto; brothers, Manny Frausto (Kathy), Marcos Frausto (Cassie) and Joseph Vidal; sisters, Barbara Trinidad (Rey), Mirna Ramos (John), Christina Roberts and Debbie Mejia (Joe). Teresa proudly served in the Army as an 81E Illustrator. She completed her basic training in Ft. Dix, New Jersey. Then attended Graphics Specialist school at Lowry AFB, Colorado for Bravo Company-3rd Battalion-3rd Brigade. Advanced to E-3 in July 1985 and also received the Military Intelligence Brigade Certificate of Achievement in April 1986. Teresa was also in overseas posts in Ft. Shafter, Hawaii for 595th Engineer Company and Scholfield BKs., Hawaii for HDD 7th Maintenance BN. She also was awarded the Good Conduct Medal from October 1984 through September 1987. Teresa was Honorably Discharged in June 1988. Teresa reinlisted in the Naval Reserve in August 1989 and retired in July 2007. While in service for the Naval Reserve she was awarded the Naval Reserve Meritorious Service Medal in August of 1993. She devoted herself as a faithful mother to her daughter, Taylor in her Christian faith. Praised and spread the Word of her Lord and Savior to all she came in contact with. Her commitment to her Faith was her focus which saved her soul. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m., Friday, November 9, 2012 at Calvary Tucson East, 8711 E. Speedway, with Services beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m., with full military honors, at Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1300 Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista, AZ
