Obituary of Vivian H. Jarva

Vivian H. Jarva peacefully passed away on November 13, 2012 after a long battle with lung cancer. Known to those close to her as Vivacious Vi, Vivian demonstrated love, happiness and strength on a daily basis. Her smile and humor will be missed by all who knew her. Vivian was the mother of three children. She taught them how to be loving, nonjudgemental and provided them with the strength to live fulfilled lives. Vivian's family was very important to her and she protected them faithfully. She was deeply honest, loving and giving to those she loved. Vivian was married for 27 years to Duane Jarva who preceeded her in death in 1997. She is survived by son Brian Jarva and daughters Darlene Lee and Kathryn Jarva; three grandchildren Kenny Barnes, Amber Gailey and Clayton Gailey; one great granddaughter Savannah Gailey and numerous other family members. Vivian is also survived by a large number of friends whom she considered family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, especially her great granddaughter who was the light of Vivian's life. Vivian enjoyed her quiet time watching General Hospital, making jewelry, cross stitching, playing games on her computer and visiting with neighbors. To honor Vivian's life the family will hold a viewing for friends on November 20 from 4-6 PM with service starting at 6 PM. All services will be held at Bring's Broadway Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made in Vivian's memory to the American Lung Association.
