Obituary of William G. West

William Glen West Sr. Age 79 of Tucson, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday morning November 29, 2012. Born November 9, 1933 in Bolivar, Pennsylvania, Glen had two careers, first retiring after proudly serving 21 years in the U.S. Air Force and secondly spending 20 years as a loyal employee of the Tucson Airport Authority. As a longtime member of the Sabino Road Baptist Church, Glen devoted countless hours of service. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mitzi; sons William G. and Richard A. and daughter-in-law Connie; grandson, Cody; and sister, Mary Jane Wakefield of Pittsburgh, PA. Glen is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Visitation and viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. â€" 11:00 a.m., followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m., all at Sabino Road Baptist Church, 2710 N. Sabino Canyon Road. Interment with full military honors will follow service at East Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sabino Road Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
