When I met Sammy for the first time on our mission in Malaga, it was instant friendship. We seemed to always be in the same areas after that so we spent lists of time together. After the mission we got together several times including him and Sunny coming to our wedding. I could call him if on a whim and he would be there. He came up a couple of year ago to Utah and stopped by to have some Jamón Serrano with Ben Leaver and me. We always talked about the simple pleasure of digging a hole as a kid and how we were going to do that some day. Although we never did on this earth, I look forward to seeing him again and grabbing some shovels and catching up while we dig that long over do hole. Love you Sammy and Sunny!

My favorite memory of Sam was actually of Sam and Sunny together. I'd watch them both ride their golf cart to go and get their daughter from school. You could see that they loved each other and loved picking up their daughter. ❤

Sam was a wonderful soul. He was my friend which is a big deal to me. His smile could cure a cold. I will miss him deeply and see again one day.
