Obituary of Richard Robert Carver

Richard Robert Carver, 84, passed away at home on July 14, 2021.  Richard was born on March 19, 1937 in New London, Connecticut.  He graduated from New London High School in 1956.  His first major job was at Electric Boat General Dynamics in Groton, CT. The family then moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1969.  Richard was a draftsman for Tucson Electric Power Company where he retired in 1995.  He loved playing golf and was a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox.  He also enjoyed rooting for the Arizona Wildcat Basketball Team.  He loved getting together with close family and friends.  He also enjoyed eating out with his beloved wife. He was kind, caring, fun and loving, generous and responsible.  Most of all, he knew how to make us all smile.

Richards parents were Richard J. Carver and Jennie Carver.  His sister was Connie Greene.  His middle child was Ricky R. Carver.  Richard is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joanne H. Carver, his son Ted W. Carver, his daughter Victoria L. Soto, his sister Millie Wheaton, his grandchildren April, Crystal, Kilie, Michael (Monique), his 7 great-grandchildren Jordan, Ashlynn, Chloe, Dominic, Jaxon, Leilani, Vivienne, and his 4 nieces Gail, Dee, Susan, Valerie, and his 2 nephews Vincent and Kirk.
