Obituary of Steven H. Keller

Steven H. Keller “Steve” age 71 passed away peacefully after a long illness on July 16, 2021 in Tucson, AZ. He was born on December 17, 1949 in Newburgh, New York, and spent his childhood in Washingtonville, New York where he still has many family members. Steven was preceded in death by his parents Henry F. Keller, Gertrude Malina Keller, and his sister Wendy Keller. Steven will be lovingly remembered by his first wife Mary and their children Suzanne (Whitney) and Christopher (Rosie),  and his wife of 25 years Kathy and his three stepchildren; Kenneth G. Neely (Janis), David C. Neely (Malia) and Jennifer L. Neely.

Steve served in the US Air Force at Ubon Air Force Base in Thailand, and had many fond memories of those he served with in Spectre.

Steve was never happier than when he was at work. As President of Kelco Doors, Inc he spent countless hours all over Arizona and the Southwest, working at facilities and making lifelong friends. It broke his heart to give up the work that he so loved. Throughout his life Steve enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to camp, fish, hunt, and gold mine, and enjoyed quad riding, especially a moonlight ride with good friends. He spent many hours camping in Gardner Canyon in the Santa Rita Mountains, and gold mining in Grass Valley, CA.

A celebration of life will be held on August 14, 2021 at 10:00am at Bring’s Broadway Chapel 6910 E. Broadway Blvd Tucson, AZ. The family requests donations to the American Parkinson Disease Association, or The Sierra Club in lieu of flowers.

A special debt of gratitude is owed to Geoffrey Ahern, MD for his constant care over Steve’s illness, the caring staff at Arista Hospice and to the staff at Pacifica Memory Care for their gentle and loving care in his last two weeks.
