Maureen was an amazing woman and friend. Hers was a deep, intelligent, curious mind and she shared her love of Hal, art, politics, and more with us, and we are better for it. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of Maureen as I look at the rug and artwork she was so generous in sharing with me. She lives on in my home and I think she’d appreciate that. The New Year’s Eves that Steve and I spent at her home with Maureen and Hal are some of my fondest memories. I donated to the SPCA two years ago in honor of Maureen’s volunteer work and will do so again, now in memory.
Maureen you are beyond the pain and frustration your illness caused you. I hope you’re sharing the NY Times and a glass of amazing wine with Hall. You had an enormous impact on my life and for that I am eternally thankful.
