Obituary of Lisa Marie O'Hara

We are saddened to share news of the sudden loss of Lisa Marie O’Hara (Schapendonk) on 2/25/2021.

Daughter of John and Patricia Schapendonk, sister of Leslie Fisher (Schapendonk), fond sister-in-law of John Fisher and loving aunt to Michelle Fisher, and sister to Jeffrey Schapendonk. Lisa will also be missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Lisa spent her life in the service of the people of Tucson. As a cancer survivor herself, she worked in many hospitals and care centers helping her patients through difficult medical issues, and in some cases, assisting them in end-of-life transitions with compassion and dignity.

Lisa began her career as a Firefighter/EMT with Mt. Lemmon Fire and Rescue before devoting herself to the medical profession. She worked at several Carondelet Hospitals and Care Centers, including Tucson Heart, St. Mary’s and St. Joseph’s. Wherever she was, she devoted herself to serving and taking care of others. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and coworkers.
