Obituary of Janice Kay Bahr

Janice Kay Bahr, 78, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 8th at her home in Green Valley.

She is survived by her children Patricia Doel , Annie Matelsky, and Robert Bahr Jr. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, C.B. and Edith McCall; a brother Don McCall; two sisters, Jeanette Ailshie and Nona Phelps. She leaves behind grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Janice was born on March 30, 1942, along with her twin sister, Jeanette, to C.B. and Edith McCall in Culver, Kansas. She went to school in Hutchinson, Kansas and later married Robert Bahr Sr. which ended in divorce.

She spent a great deal of her life living in Tucson, Arizona. Janice was a devout Catholic, and loved reading the Catholic prayer books. She had a smile and laughter that could fill up a room. Janice loved God, her family, her dog, and close friends. She loved talking with people and singing her favorite songs. Janice will be sadly missed by those that knew and loved her. Friends and family that knew Janice well, will always keep a place in their heart for Janice.

A service to remember her will be held at Saint Margaret’s Church in Tucson.
