Rogelio Quijada

Obituary of Rogelio Garcia Quijada

Rogelio "Roger" Garcia Quijada was born in Tucson Arizona on May 13th 1963 where he resided and established a wonderful life through efforts, diligence, and hard work. A life in which he was rewarded with the company and the blessing of beautiful children, an adoring family, and dearly beloved friends. With all he shared so selflessly, and with complete abandon, his love, charity, warmth, knowledge, and incredibly compassionate and impassioned demeanor; that we know live on even after his kind eyes closed, and loving heart ceased beating in this mortal plane on the morning of August 5th 2020.

It is in jubilant veneration, appreciation, and honor that we remember and celebrate his life! A life that was dedicated to service, to compassion, to setting a good example, and to spreading love to all those around him, both loved ones and strangers. It was his mission in life to uplift others, to enlighten them, and to help them draw closer to the Divine, and to find the sacred light within themselves. It was frequent that strangers whom he would stop to assist would often describe him as an angel, or as a true example of what it meant to follow the Savior. In turn, he would always respond by saying that it was his privilege, his blessing, and his honor to be able to serve. It was this that he sought so diligently to instill into his children, and his family.

Rogelio is survived by his three sisters, Isabel, Annabella, and Fidelia. In addition, he leaves behind five children, Ruben, Roger, Siena, Elena, and David. We who were left behind, feel honored to have been a part of his life, feel blessed by his presence, and know that he will live on, and be with us powerfully in spirit. We shall strive each day to honor his memory, and live in the grace, and the wonderful example that he urged all to follow as set forth in the Gospel that he so loved. On the other side, we know that there is a happy reunion for Rogelio, in the presence of his mother who he adored with all his
being throughout all his life, and with his father whom he missed so dearly. Until we meet again, basking in the glory and power of the Almighty, even in the morning of the first resurrection. ¡Con todo nuestro amor y cariño, querido hermano, papá, y amigo!
