So many memories of so many years of friendship! As a new teacher in London in the early 70's, Larry and I shared a lengthy car ride to and from school each day. Like the professional teacher he was, he introduced me to the power of good conversation as well as a must do checklist of European travels as we began my husbands 3 year tour of duty at USAF Ruislip. Every possible topic was open for discussion and Larry proved to be a master of the Socrates method of learning with a fine appreciation of travel, traditions, and culinary delights. I certainly looked forward to and learned a lot on those car rides! It is no surprise Larry taught in multiple disciplines and specialized in mushrooms as well!
Our children, Wes and Michelle, came to know and appreciate Larry's sense of humor and thoughtfulness through the memorable visits we had on both sides of the Atlantic. They still speak of him fondly. Thank you Larry!
And thank you Kristine for teaching the power of love and devotion in your lives. We share condolences and hope many happy memories of a life well lived will sustain you in coming days and years. We send our love, hugs, and blessings.

Doc and I were saddened to hear of Larry’s passing. We have so many memories of wonderful times spent with Kristine and Larry; Kris and Larry including Pat while decorating for Christmas when Doc was deployed, carpool dinner in Springfield, VA with the whole crew, Thanksgiving dinner in Virginia Beach, and enjoying a rain shower in Kingman, AZ. Doc felt a special kinship when he learned about Larry teaching in the DODDS system, since Doc attended DODDS when his family was deployed for four years to Argentina, Newfoundland. We’ll always remember Larry’s great sense of humor and the twinkle in his eye! Much love and sympathy to Kristine and the family. Doc and Pat Rivers

I remember my 1989 Physics class in Bonn with great fondness. Mr. Allaman was in part responsible for me going on to study engineering. A gifted teacher. Peace and grace. - David Ronka
