Carol Amlee

Obituary of Carol Jean Amlee

Carol Jean (Teeman) Amlee was born to Avrid and Alice Teeman on December 25, 1928 in Minnesota. She went home to be with the Lord on March 25, 2020. We don't know much about her time in Minnesota. She did love to tell her grandchildren stories about walking to school uphill in the snow, in the potato sack dress she made herself. She married her husband, Richard Amlee, on March 17, 1956. They had two children, Jerry and Jodi. In 1968 the family moved to Tucson, Arizona. Once here, Carol found a job she loved as a special education aide. She worked at Sahuaro high school for many years. She also liked to help the community. For years she donated her time helping the Shriners and Elks clubs. Her family can still picture her, covered head to toe in cotton candy, while she was helping at the circus. Carol was a social butterfly and loved to talk to people! She also loved a good garage sale and senior day at the thrift store. That was were she got all the good "brown bag specials." Our birthdays wouldn't be the same without them!

Carol is survived by her son Jerry Amlee and his wife Rhonda: her grandchildren; Michelle, Jeff, J.J., and Garrett: her great grandchildren; Tiffany and Skylar: and her best friend Carol Turman.

She is predeceased by her husband Richard Amlee; her daughter Jodi Nelson; her parents and siblings.

Services will be held at All Faith's Cemetery (2151 S. Avenida Los Reyes) on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. Unfortunately, due to these crazy times, only a few family members will be able to attend services. If anyone has any questions please contact Michelle (520) 245-9041.
