It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Anthony O’Heir on 13 February, 2020 that occurred at home. Bob was 81 years old. Bob was called home to the Heavenly Father after fighting a long and courageous battle against multiple types of cancer.
Bob was the son of the late James and Virginia (Grealis) O’Heir. He was predeceased by his first wife, Ruth Olson, his brothers: James, John, Richard, and sister Mary Louise.
He is survived by his wife Marie-Rose Smith O’Heir; sons Robert Jr. (San Diego, CA) (Erica and daughter Emily) and Timothy (Tucson, AZ) (Lourdes and children: Erica Leyva (Patrick Verstraeten, Brussels, Belgium), Elizabeth (Kalani Lelafu), Michelle (Gabriel Piña), Deanna and Matthew); step daughter, Stephanie Browne (Renton, WA) (Curtis, children: Kenadi (Rita Melnikova) (Portland, OR), Madison, Andrew and Cameron); siblings: Virginia (Frank Mann, San Diego, CA), Patricia (Chicago, IL), and brother William ( Chicago, IL); including 10 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandson, several nieces and nephews and many, many friands.
Bob relocated from Chicago, IL to Tucson, AZ in 1973 where he and Ruth raised their two boys. He was an electrician by trade, and provided guidance and assistance to all those who needed him regardless of the toll it took on his health. Bob was a very religious person and gave of himself without expecting anything back. He never said no to a damsel in distress. He was a proud life long member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).
