Obituary of Kathryn Ilene McGlone


Kathryn Ilene McGlone age 71 went to be with the Lord on September 23, 2019, just 2 weeks after receiving a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Born in Detroit, Michigan to James Elwood McGlone and Patricia Ann O’Laughlin, who preceded her in death. She is survived and loved deeply by her son Matthew McGlone (Keely), daughter Colleen McGlone (Joey Spann), seven grandchildren Matthew McGlone, Jacob McGlone, Mollie McGlone, Fletcher Franzen, Holden Franzen, Delaney Franzen, Paige Spann, her sister Lynda Gallagher (Bill), brothers Thomas McGlone (Susan), James McGlone (Jacqueline), nieces and nephews Alyssa Faller (Cody), Patrick Gallagher (Brette), Briana Morrell (Richard), Meghan McGlone, Shaun McGlone, Lindsey McGlone, Shanna Denny (Tim), Andrea McGlone (Kevin). Kathy was Great Aunt to Canyon Faller, Fiona Faller, McCann Gallagher, Pacenn Gallagher, Lucy Morrell, Max Morrell, Jackson Smith, Calleigh Smith, Axton Denny, Lillian Denny, Logan Denny, Quinn Denny, Trinity Hamlett, Chase Hamlett, Justis Hamlett, and many friends. Kathy attended St. Alphonsus High School in Dearborn, Michigan class of 1966. She worked many years for State Farm Insurance and was beloved by her clients.
Kathy loved hiking, camping and being outdoors; we will see her in every leaf and tree and mountain and sky. She dedicated her life to being a grandmother and most of all she loved taking her grandchildren on vacation to the mountains.
