Obituary of Mildred LaVerne Hughes McGloin

Mildred Hughes McGloin went to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 28, 2019. She was born January 17, 1934 to Nora and Kenneth Peer.

Mildred is preceded in death by her husband James A. Hughes, and sisters Dorothy Bradley and Sally Kerestesy. She is survived by her husband George McGloin; three sisters, Ann Wells, Janet Myers and Rose Haab(George); eight brothers, Kenneth Peer, James Peer, Terry Peer(Madeline), Murray Peer(Anna), Ronald Peer(Elinor), Donald Peer(Cynthia), David Peer(Carmen) and Charles Peer(Julie). She is also survived by two sons, Patrick Hughes(Janice) and TimothyHughes(Beverly); six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mildred had many jobs in her lifetime. She received her GED later in life and went to school to become an LPN. She worked for Christ Hospital in Jersey City and then Sunnyside Retirement Community in Harrisonburg, VA. After moving to Tucson, she worked for Target and volunteered in the community during voting and in a local food bank.

 A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Bring's Broadway Chapel located at 6910 E. Broadway Blvd., Tucson, Az 85710.
