Obituary of William O. Ruiz, Jr.

William O. (Bill) Ruiz, Jr., age 68, joined the Lord unexpectedly on July 1, 2019. Bill was born in
Tucson, AZ on September 12, 1950. He graduated from Tucson High School in 1968.
Bill had a love for family, sports and music. He will always be remembered as a hard working
and loving man. Bill was married for 43 years to the love of his life, Carole Ruiz. They shared 3
children, Diane (Jess) Ruiz, Billy (Tina) Ruiz and Gina (Freddy) Figueroa.
He loved his grandchildren Guillermo “Gimmy” Ruiz, Maelina “Mae” Ruiz and Eli Figueroa.
Bill is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Ruiz, and sisters, Cecelia (Tom) Amparano and Dee
Dee Ruiz. He had nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him very much.
He is preceded in joining our Lord by his father, Willie Ruiz, and brother Bobby Ruiz.
Bill lived a fulfilling life full of love and memorable moments with his children, grandchildren and
his “co-pilot”, Carole.
One word that best described Bill, is “everything.” We will always cherish our moments with
you and never forget our “everything.”
Services will be held on Friday, July 12,2019 at St. Rita in the Desert Catholic Church, 13260
E. Colossal Cave Road, Vail, AZ.
Viewing will be at 9:00 am with Rosary at 10:30 am. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am.
Reception to follow at the Elks Lodge #385, 1800 N. Oracle Road.
Bill you are the love of my life and I can’t wait until we are together again. Love you forever,
