Cynthia Grantham

Obituary of Cynthia Dee Grantham

Cynthia Grantham, 57, passed away February 28th, 2019 shortly after an unexpected, extensive stage cancer diagnosis. She is survived by her daughter Marissa Grantham and son Thomas Knudson, her sisters Karen A. Flores and Sandra L. Daniels, her brother William E. Hendrickson, her nephews Isaac and Shawn Stutzman and Alexander Flores, her nieces Heather Simpson and Amanda Catanzaro and her loyal dog Charlie.

Cynthia was a driven woman who early in her life dedicated herself to working through college and building her career enjoying many different entrepreneurial and business management roles. She soon married and gave birth to her first child Thomas and raised him in Salt Lake City, Utah. She later remarried, moved to Alpine, Utah and gave birth to her second child, Marissa.

After an early, unexpected death of her second husband, she inherited an automotive repair business which she applied her business acumen to operate for nearly 15 years. The business became a trusted cornerstone of the community and served as a place of work and learning for her children where they first learned their work ethic contributing to the family business.

During this time period, she acquired a love for the game of golf. Playing as many rounds as she could, visiting favorite courses, and following her favorite golfers through their career. In 2012, she retired from operating her family business and moved to Tucson, Arizona to live closer to her sister Karen.

She was a loving and generous person that will be missed and remembered by anyone that had the opportunity to know her. She loved her grandchildren Ethan and Caden so much and they always enjoyed their time together.
