Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Duddy

It is with great sadness that the family of Elizabeth Ann Duddy, lovingly known as "Betty", formally of Tucson, AZ and Newton, MA, after a courageous and determined battle with an aggressive illness, passed on January 27, 2019. Beloved wife of James R. Duddy for 47 years. Cherished mother to Brian Duddy and Monica McArdle. Treasured Nana to her grandchildren, Morgan, Brenden, Isabella and McKenzie. She is also survived by her sister, Blanche (Doherty) Curtin and several nieces and nephews. Betty found great joy and had a passion for all animals. She dedicated much of her time to breeding, showing and raising Champion and Grand Champion Irish Setters, she was very active in many AKC Irish Setter Clubs and Organizations. Betty's door was always open to anyone (or animal) who needed her! A requiem mass and celebration of her life will be held February 11, 2019 at 10:00am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 300 N. Tanque Verde Loop Rd., Tucson, AZ 85748. Interment will take place February 12, 2019 at 1:00pm at the Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery at Marana, 15950 N. Luckett Rd., Marana, AZ 85653. Betty was a devoted believer and she relied on St. Jude in many aspects of her spiritual life. Donations in her memory can be made to shrineofstjude.org. Elizabeth, Betty, will forever and fondly be remembered by all who had the opportunity to know her, as a loving, feisty and fiercely determined woman.
