Life History:

Phyllis was born in Webb City, Missouri.

She loved sewing and needlework. She filled her home with her beautiful needle work. She often gave them as gifts to others. Some of her work is on display in the foyer.
     She married Kenneth C. Minch in the Mesa Temple, November 20, 1976. As a newly-wed she sat in the middle of the front seat of the car. Kenneth's co-workers said that she was a hazard sitting there but she didn't care.
     She had a strong testimony of the church. She believed in regular prayer and scripture study.

     She served a church service mission in the Homecraft Center. The Homecraft Center provided kits, patterns, materials, and supplies for Clothes, quilts, etc, which were then completed by others at home and distributed to the needy.

     She loved the Relief Society and served as the ward Relief Society president at one time. She understood the principle of ministering and often took meals to families that were going through difficult times. Her signature meal was a "pot of soup."
     She would write letters and cards to friends and family. She had a large group of people she would keep in touch with.

     She enjoyed canning fruits and vegetables and loved sharing what she preserved.
     She would babysit the grandchildren often making it possible for the children to be able to attend the temple. She loved to have the grandchildren up for cake and ice cream to celebrate birthdays.

     She had two Pomeranian dogs: Buddy and Lady. Sometimes they walked the dogs in nearby parks and loved to talk with people and share dog stories.
