Obituary of Geoffrey Michael John Hayward

Geoffrey Michael John Hayward passed away unexpectedly on December 14th. He was a kind, thoughtful, funny and patient man, who touched the lives of every person he came in contact with. He never met a stranger. Geoff was a great person to talk to and loved to tell jokes and make you laugh. His laugh was infectious.

Geoff was born in Wolverhampton, England on November 9, 1963.

Geoff worked in the industrial tool and fastener industry in the West Midlands before moving to Tucson in 2014 to marry his wife, Alisa. Geoff and Alisa adopted their fur-babies, Izzy and Stella to complete their little family. 

Geoff worked at Citi for 3 years in the customer service department and he will be greatly missed by all of his coworkers. 

Geoff will lovingly be remembered by his wife, Alisa, mum, Marilyn, brother, Robert (Paula), mother-in-law, Edith, sister-in-law, Dana (Anthony) brother-in-laws Ted (Mackenzie), Tom, and Mike (Victoria), nephews, Noah and Elijah, nieces, Phoebe, Charlotte, Vivian and Violet, and a countless list of people who were lucky enough to call Geoff a friend. Geoff was preceded in death by his Dad, Geoffrey, brother Ian and father-in-law, Eddy.  

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made “In Memory of Geoff Hayward,” to Pima Animal Care Center,  online or by phone, 520-724-5900. Geoff and Alisa adopted Izzy from PACC and Geoff loved animals. 

A memorial service for Geoff will be held on Saturday, December 29th from 2pm - 4pm at 9030 S. Rita Road.

Geoff loved many things, including cricket, listening to podcasts, baseball, and donuts, but his biggest passion in life was his love of music. He loved collecting and listening to vinyl records. In his spare time he was always listening to albums and writing music reviews. Geoff’s family is encouraging attendees of the memorial service to wear a music or band t-shirt as a tribute to Geoff.
