Obituary of Ann T. Comeau

Nancy Comeau went home to be with the Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, September 23, 2018 and on her final moment here on earth she was reminded - Jesus loves you. 

Nancy was married to Arthur F. Comeau for 36 years. Nancy is survived by all her children, Arthur J. Comeau (Jorge), Betsy Plunkett (Mike), Tom Comeau (Dorothy), John Comeau, and Maureen Smith (Darwin); Grandchildren, Ashley and Andrew Plunkett, John Lee, Jesse and Tom Comeau, Jody Rubin, Dawn Houghton, Whit Houghton, Jeanne PostVanderburg, and Christina Dalton, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Nancy worked vehemently to save and give a great start in life working with her dearest friend Bernadine Haag for Right to Life. She also saved many babies bringing home many just born babies to give them a healthy start in life with Arizona Children’s Home. She volunteered for Arizona Public Broadcasting Station giving tours, and volunteered at Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum giving tours to travelers from all over the world.

Nancy began her work experience as a child actress on radio shows in the early 40’s. In the late 40’s was the assistant to the Ambassador of India even surviving a plane crash on its way back from India in the C130. Nancy was trained in operatic voice and was a powerful soprano; meeting her husband Art in a local church choir in Jackson Heights, NY.  Nancy married in 1953 and raised her 5 children. Nancy received her teaching for a nurse’s aide in 1967, and worked for years doing this at Pascack Valley Hospital in Westwood, NJ and Tucson Medical Center, Tucson General Hospital, Benson Hospital, and then quit to take care of her precious mom in the last days of her Mother, Jane’s life.  Nancy also took care of her husband, Art in his final days until his home going in 1989.  She went on to be a security person for Trump Airlines in DC, and then was a member of many choirs at the churches she attended.

Nancy loved the Lord with all her heart and soul and was unashamed to share Him with all that she met.  She was known to many people as “The God Bless Lady” as she told everyone she met God Bless You.  In her final 5 years she battled Dementia and even when she could no longer speak, she had a sweet giggle and laughter that all who cared for her loved. 

Nancy will be sorely missed by all who loved her. And would want everyone to know that:  “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord” (2 Cor. 5:8). She would not want you to leave this earth not knowing your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
