Obituary of Tina Lavett Collins

COLLINS, Tina Lavett, "Tea" (Johns), Age 51, of Tucson, AZ passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018. She was born on February 8th, 1967 in Tucson, AZ at St. Mary’s Hospital. On January 15th, 1986 she married Darrel D. Collins, and together they had 2 children, Jennae and Dijon. In loving memory of a soul gone to rest too soon. Tina was a very loving, giving, and kindhearted woman. She was very creative with her unique ability for arts and crafts. She was also gifted and talented, mastering the art of puppetry. She was very determined to complete her education and went back to school and acquired her high school diploma. Tina was also part of the first ever commencement ceremony graduating at the top of her class. Tina also utilized the first online airline reservation reservationist course receiving her certificate as a travel agent. Tina is survived by her husband Darrel Collins, her children Jennae Collins, Dijon Collins, daughter-in-law Sierra Collins and was proceeded by her parents Jackie Johns, Williams Johns Jr. Frances Fallon, and Clifton Collins. Tina will be fondly remembered by her sisters, Trisha Graham, Claire Davis, Nina Johns, Debbie Johns, Jackie Johns, Krista Johns, by her brothers, William Johns, Fred Johns, Marlowe Mckinney, by her grandchildren, Devion Collins, Amanti Collins, Aliyah Collins, Jamari Collins, by Uncle Letton Thomas, Aunt Maiola Coleman, Aunt Tanya Thomas, Aunt Gloria Flanningan, Aunt Shirley Dunn, Aunt Betty Jo Harrington, Aunt Dalana, Uncle Arnold Thomas, Uncle Donald Thomas, Aunt Lavon Booker and by a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service organized by Brings Broadway Chapel will be held on October 17, 2018. Memorial donations may be made in Tina’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
