Margaret Arlene Hessick

November 25, 1922 – June 14, 2018

In memory of a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, left us here on Earth in the early morning hours of Thursday, June 14, 2018. Strong in her faith and fiercely protective of her loved ones, she will be greatly missed by all of those who loved and knew her.

Margaret Hessick, 95, was born in Lansing, Michigan, to Claude and Mildred (Muth) Parker. She had one sister, Glenna Glee Wheeler, who died several years ago. As a young wife and mother, Margaret came to Tucson in 1946 leaving her home and family to make a new home with her own family in the desert. She spent the rest of her life here loving and serving her family and friends, making our lives richer and happier for having known her.

She is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 49 years, LeRoy Hessick, and grandson Thomas Hessick. She is survived by her three children Larry Hessick, Thomas (Sherri) Hessick, and Teresa Hessick of Tucson; three grandchildren Clayton Hessick and Rachel (Isaac) Flater of Tucson, and Stacey Johnston of Michigan; and three great-grandchildren Alex Hessick, Kyle Hessick, and Josephine Flater.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 20th at 10:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 700 North Bonanza Avenue, Tucson, Arizona. Interment will be in East Lawn Cemetery immediately following services.
