Obituary of Stella F. Smalling

Stella Smalling died peacefully at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Institute of Tucson on June 11, 2018 at the age of 76. Stella is survived by her husband Oliver Smalling, sons Mark and Brad Smalling, and grandchildren Brandon, Tyler, Cynthia, and Mark Jr. Smalling. She is also survived by sisters Clara Cooper and Mae Keistler, and her daughter in laws Maria and Tracey Smalling.

Stella was born on May 30, 1942 and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated from Humes High School in Memphis, Tennessee. Stella married Oliver Smalling on May 9, 1962 in Northern Alabama. Throughout their marriage she supported her military husband and raised two wonderful children. Her hobbies included sewing, baking, and traveling to new places. Stella was a wonderful woman loved by all who knew her.

A viewing is scheduled for 6pm and a funeral service is scheduled for 7pm on June 17th, 2018 at Brings Broadway Chapel. David Taylor will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Stella’s life.
