Obituary of Joan A. Wenck Blanchard

 Joan A. Wenck Blanchard passed peaceful on March 2nd, 2018 in Tucson, Arizona.  She was born December 24th, 1940, to Richard and Dorothy Wenck in Baltimore, Maryland.  She is survived by, Kathie Dummitt, Paul Blanchard, Michael Blanchard and daughter-in-law Tiffany, and Karen Harness and son-in-law John, and preceded in death by her son Kenneth. She has 3 grandchildren Chelsea and Ryan Blanchard and Eva Harness.

               Joan grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated Seton High School in 1959.  She married and had Kenneth, Kathie, and Paul before moving to East Windsor, New Jersey in 1967.  In New Jersey, she had Michael and Karen.  Joan became one of the first EMTs in the state of New Jersey and rode for a volunteer rescue squad in East Windsor.  After raising her family, she moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1990 and lived out her life.

               Joan was loved by many and will be missed by all.  Joan will be buried in Meadowridge Cemetery Elkridge, MD on March 30th, 2018.  The visitation is from 10:00 am to 10:55 am, mass is at 11:00 AM and committal service following the mass.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Joan’s life.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude Shrine of Baltimore.
