Obituary of James Lee Culbert
James Lee Culbert, "Jim", age 74 of Tucson, Arizona passed away January 12, 2018 at the Southern Arizona VA Hospital.
James was born on February 5, 1943 in Fremont, Ohio to Oscar James and Esther Irene (Holtsberry) Culbert. He served 8 years in the US Army.
He enjoyed classic cars, travel, fishing, pets, classic country and western music, and the western lifestyle. In younger days he actively participated in rodeos where he had a passion for bull riding. Jim enjoyed family and friends and was especially known for his 'one-liner' sarcasm which always made him entertaining to talk to.
He is survived by his daughters Theresa (Frankie) Gonzalez, Christine (Robert) Pate, Angela (Jude) Sears, and Yvonne Culbert; sons Steven James (Kizzie) Culbert and James Lee Fish, 8 grandchildren Nicholas Sparrow, Shannon Sanchez, William Shrake, Kayla Sparrow, Kody Culbert, Bryn Sears, Keaton Bullock, and Kanon Culbert, and one great grandchild Jaya Mendez.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday February 9, 2018 at Bring's Broadway Chapel 6910 East Broadway Boulevard Tucson, Arizona with Rev. Mark Bickerton officiating. Burial will follow at Desert Vista Cemetery 2151 South Avenida Los Reyes Tucson, Arizona with Military Honors by the Fort Huachuca Select Honor Guard.
