A History of Caring

Alvin Bring

Howard A. Bring

Bring Funeral Home was founded in 1928 by Alvin and Ella Bring and their son, Howard.  Bring's continued under the leadership of Howard's daughter, Susan Bring,  until her retirement in 2011.  Today, our dedicated and caring staff continue to uphold the Bring tradition by meeting the individual needs of each family, while providing the highest quality of service, at a fair price, at our convenient and well maintained facility.

Facts You Should Know

The following excerpts are from a booklet entitled, "FACTS You Should Know" (Copyright O. F. Barnhart, 1950, San Gabriel, California) which was written by Alvin and Howard Bring.

"Mortuary Science goes back to antiquity; laws, rules and customs fill volumes; it is obvious that the subject cannot be fully treated in this small booklet, however, feel free to ask us any question on this vital subject.  Your answer will be authoritative and given without the slightest obligation."

Very truly yours,
Alvin Bring

"I have no higher aspiration than to serve the people of Tucson as my father has served you.  He has built an enviable reputation for integrity; so shall I.  Honor has been the keystone of his life; it shall be mine.  He has never given a promise lightly; once given it is a sacred trust; so, too, shall mine."

Very truly yours,
Howard A. Bring

After completing my degree, I came to Bring's to complete my education and professional certification as a funeral director and embalmer. Able to handle all aspects of funeral and cremation arrangements, I work with families showing all options available to them when the need arises. And to help families coordinate and officiate celebrations of life, I am trained to conduct ceremonies as a Funeral Celebrant.

I have been fortunate to share my life with my beautiful wife Glynis (as well as 5 dogs and 2 cats!) We enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.. after all that is what life is all about!

If I can ever assist you, please feel free to contact me. I can be reached via email at jstone@bringfuneralhome.com or here at Bring's Broadway Chapel (520) 296-7193.
